Bruce Campbell will be lending his vocal talents to The Last Kids on Earth on Netflix which airs next month on Sept. 17. Creator and Executive Producer, Max Brallier dropped a little tease about the actor’s character in a recent interview.

Bruce Campbell fresh off his Travel Channel series, Ripley’s Believe It or Not! has another upcoming program that his fans will want to catch. The veteran actor will be appearing on Netflix’s family series, The Last Kids on Earth which debuts on Sept. 17.

The program is about a group of kids who survive the apocalypse and have to fend off monsters and zombies on a daily basis. Everything about the show has been pretty secretive.

The only character that has been revealed is Jack Sullivan who is portrayed by Nick Wolfhard. Jack is the leader of the sole survivors’ gang. Joining him is his best friend, Quint who is a nerdy kid with an aptitude for science, Dirk, the former bully turned loyal protector and June, the tough girl who happens to be Jack’s crush.

While we know that the rest of the cast includes Campbell, Keith David, Mark Hamill, Rosario Dawson and Catherine O’Hara, that is about all the information we have to go on at present.

However, in a recent interview with Paste Magazine, creator and executive producer Max Brallier (who is also the author of the bestselling book franchise on which the Netflix series is based), threw out a few tidbits on what viewers can expect. Catherine O’Hara, the talented actress who starred in Home Alone and Beetlejuice will be portraying a rather interesting character.

According to Brallier, she is a “warrior monster who has a lot more screen time on the series than in the books.” Bruce, on the other hand, is an addition who doesn’t appear in the novels. It sounds like they really wanted him on board because his role was created from “the ground up” and basically tailored to fit his personality.

Now, we wonder if he will play a creature like O’Hara or will he be human like Jack? In any case, this new information is very intriguing.

dark. Next. Bruce Campbell wants to cut an album. This is not a drill!

Mark your calendars for the Sept. 17 premiere of the one-hour special on Netflix. Catch our upcoming interview with Nick Wolfhard coming soon!
