Bruce Campbell could be setting himself up for a productive year in 2020 with a new indie feature and a political satire script that he is shopping around. However, could the actor have another potential project up his sleeve?

Bruce Campbell is definitely not slowing down since retiring his character of Ash Williams in 2018. As a matter of fact, one could say he is going into overdrive mode, creatively speaking. Currently, he is finishing up his promotional tour for his updated “Requiem for Ash” edition of Hail to the Chin: Further Confessions of a B Movie Actor.

In a recent interview with San Antonio Current ahead of his appearance at the Aztec Theatre on Oct. 25, the actor revealed some of his future plans. When we chatted with him last month, he dropped a few surprises on us. The new year will find Campbell filming an indie feature in New England.

He also completed a political satire script that he is keen on shopping around. The best part is that he hopes to entice his pal Ted Raimi to join him in that venture. Now, it would appear another project could be in the mix.

2020 is a wide-open vista for Bruce. For the first time in what seems like eons, his personal appearance calendar is bare so he can concentrate on what he terms the Act III phase of his career. He also alluded to a TV concept that he is hoping will generate some interest.

More from Bruce Campbell

What makes this tidbit particularly intriguing is that he also stated that he would sign a contract under the “right conditions.” We know that he likes the idea of the limited series format.

While new ideas are exciting, Campbell isn’t ruling out a chance to revisit Brisco County, Jr. or Burn Notice. A few months ago, a fan had asked him on Twitter if he would be willing to consider a return to the world of Sam Axe. Bruce’s retort, “Well, maybe just one little movie.”

Apparently, the actor has inferred that something might be in the works regarding the spy series stating:

"“We’re sort of circling the building now with Burn Notice. Maybe it’s time to save the world again. The world needs us.”"
