True crime: The real-life terror lurking beneath a Tennessee home

COLO HEIGHTS, AUSTRALIA - NOVEMBER 15: A house is seen along Putty road as the fire front approaches a property on November 15, 2019 in Colo Heights, Australia. The warning has been issued for a 80,000-hectare blaze at Gospers Mountain, which is burning in the direction of Colo Heights. An estimated million hectares of land has been burned by bushfire across Australia following catastrophic fire conditions - the highest possible level of bushfire danger - in the past week. A state of emergency was declared by NSW Premier Gladys Berejiklian on Monday 11 November and is still in effect, giving emergency powers to Rural Fire Service Commissioner Shane Fitzsimmons and prohibiting fires across the state. True crime is scarier than anything Hollywood could conjure up. For one Tennessee man, horror was lurking right under his home.

True crime is terrifying. Evil is present in this world. Sometimes it can be scarier than anything Hollywood conjures up. There is a reason why the ID Channel exists.

Recently in Tennessee, a man had an experience that will haunt his dreams for a long time. According to The Blaze, Paul Mohlman was relaxing in his home watching TV. Nothing out of the ordinary, an activity that most people do after a full workday and dinner.

While he was busy enjoying his programs, he heard a loud sound that unnerved him. Upon investigating, he found out that it was emanating from beneath his house in the crawlspace. Something that was also unsettling to Mohlman was the fact that someone or something had made a hole where the connection to his radiator used to be.

Paul noticed that a light appeared to be filtering through his floor. Perplexed as to what was going on and curious, he got on his hands and knees to peer into the crawlspace.

The next thing he knew, he was looking into another eyeball, specifically a green one. Startled, he tried to wrap his mind around what he had seen. Had he stepped into a horror film?

He tried to engage the man underneath his house but from what he observed, the stranger was naked and possibly under the influence of some kind of drug.

Of course, Paul immediately called the police who promptly arrived. Exactly who was lurking beneath his home? A 24-year-old man. Since muriatic acid was found outside the entrance to the crawlspace, law enforcement believed he was cooking meth.
