Don’t Breathe 2

Last year, Fede Alvarez set up a poll for his fans on Twitter asking if he should do Evil Dead 2 or Don’t Breathe 2 as his next effort. Of course, Evil Dead 2 won which left the director a little disappointed. At the time, he also admitted that there was a script for Don’t Breathe 2.

Interestingly enough, Alvarez admitted that he might not direct but instead he might be a producer. At the time that he spoke to Movie Web, he was in the midst of dealing with The Girl in the Spider’s Web. He was also extremely excited about the direction that Don’t Breathe 2 would go in from the original film.

Segue to Stephen Lang promoting his movie, VFW at Fantastic Fest this year. He revealed that he saw the script to Dread Central for Alvarez’s Don’t Breathe 2 and that “it’s really good.” However, no word on whether or not Jane Levy will reprise her role as Rocky.

As of now, IMDb is listing the sequel as being in development. Fede is also going to be writing and directing the upcoming sequel to the 1986 David Bowie starrer, Labyrinth. However, much like Don’t Breathe 2 there is not much information surrounding that particular production either.

However, Raimi fans should keep this one in their sights.
