Shudder has just released the list of films coming to their streaming platform in October, and it includes some new treats and some cult classics.

Want to see Gonjiam: Haunted Asylum? Children of the Corn? More of Creepshow‘s third season? How about the newer film that actually scared yours truly? Shudder has you covered!

Here are the films and series already announced for October as part of Shudder’s 61 Days of Halloween:

And (drum roll, please) here are the new additions coming to Shudder in October. This is a fantastic roster, horror fans!

October 1:

Escape From New York – Manhattan is the only maximum-security prison in the nation, and Air Force One has crashed in the city. Who better to save the President than outlaw Snake Plissken (Kurt Russell)?

Motel Hell (Also available on Shudder CA)– Famer Vincent makes the best smoked meats around, and it takes all kinds of critters (including the human kind) to make it work. **Side note: This is my personal pick for Joe Bob’s Halloween Hoedown.

Razorback – A mean and nasty wild boar is roaming around the Australian Outback leaving a trail of human blood as he goes. A victim’s husband, a farmer and a hunter go in search of the boar.

Blacula (Also available on Shudder CA) – An African Prince visits Dracula in Transylvania in the 1700s, and tries to enlist his help in ending slavery. In return, Drac turns him into a vampire

Scream Blacula Scream (Also available in CA) – It’s voodoo versus vampires in this sequel, which features Pam Grier.

JD’s Revenge (Available on Shudder US and Shudder CA) – A law student named Ike allows himself to be hypnotized, then believes he is a gangster who was murdered in the ‘40s.

Sugar Hill (Also available in CA) – A nightclub boss is the subject of a mob hit, and his girlfriend uses voodoo to create undead hitmen of her own.

The House That Screamed (Also available in CA) –  Madame Fourneau is a controlling headmistress at a French boarding school for girls. Is she to blame when students start to mysteriously disappear? Or does it have something to do with Teresa, the new girl?

The Poughkeepsie Tapes (Also on Shudder CA) – In this 2007 found footage cult favorite, a notorious serial killer has left multiple disturbing home videos detailing his crimes.

The Shout (Also available in CA) – A couple of newlyweds encounter a man who believes he can kill people by shouting like the Aborigines of old.
