When will Stranger Things Season 4 come out?

It’s Stranger Things Day, the most exciting time of year for diehard Stranger Things fans. But when can we expect Stranger Things Season 4 to finally come out? We’ve been waiting forever for a new season. The wait is even worse considering how the third season ended with Hopper’s supposed death and Eleven moving to California.

Since it is a day focused on celebrating the blockbuster Netflix show, many hope that Netflix will finally release an official date for the fourth season. But sadly, that probably won’t happen. In the content coming today, Netflix left no mention of revealing a release date, although we did get the fourth and final teaser.

When can we expect the new season to release? Will Netflix confirm it anytime soon?

UPDATE: Stranger Things Season 4 is coming out in Summer 2022

Contrary to what we said before, it looks like Netflix has officially announced that the new season will be out in Summer 2022, likely a July release considering that is when previous seasons have been released.

When will Stranger Things Season 4 come out?

As mentioned, Netflix hasn’t told us when the new season is coming out beyond saying that it will release in 2022. The COVID-19 pandemic caused significant production problems for the show, which is why it took so long to get new episodes. The third season came out in 2019, which feels like another lifetime at this point, given all that has happened during the last few years. We’re all desperate for a new season.

Stranger Things Season 4 might come out on Spring Break

Even though Netflix has yet to confirm the release date, the fact the new season will take place during the in-universe spring break poses a strong possibility that the next season will release in the spring.

The first season took place during the summer and was released in July, the second season took place in fall and was released in October, the third season also took place during the summer and released in July…you see where I’m going with this? If the show follows that pattern, it feels likely that Stranger Things Season 4 will release during the spring, probably in March or April 2022.
