A Ghost Ruined My Life Podcast coming from Discovery+
By Carla Davis
Discovery+ is launching A Ghost Ruined My Life with Eli Roth as a podcast. The new podcast goes hand-in-hand with the series Eli Roth Presents: A Ghost Ruined My Life, currently available to watch on Discovery+.
In the Discovery+ podcast, modern master of horror Eli Roth hosts true tales of hauntings, with the stories being shared by the very real people who have experienced them. Discovery+ describes the series and podcast episodes as “mini horror films”, with the participants having dealt with everything from poltergeists to demons and ghosts. Clearly, these are not sweet, friendly ghost stories, but rather more frightening tales, which goes hand-in-hand with Roth’s typical content.
Eli Roth has become very well known to horror fans since he wrote and directed Cabin Fever, following that with Hostel and Hostel: Part II. He also directed Inglourious Basterds, The Green Inferno, Knock Knock and The House With a Clock in Its Walls (among others).
Roth received a Critic’s Choice Movie Award and a SAG Award as part of the ensemble for Inglourious Basterds. At the 2013 Stanley Film Festival, he was given the Visionary Award for his achievements in the horror genre.
Roth dabbled in more family-family fare by hosting Discovery Channel’s extremely popular Shark Week and the accompanying night time talk show Shark after Dark.
The Eli Roth Presents: A Ghost Ruined My Life series was recently renewed for a second season, along with the Eli Roth-produced series The Haunted Museum.
