Based on the bestselling Japanese manga series Parasyte by Hitoshi Iwaaki, Parasyte: The Grey takes place in the fictional city of Namil in South Korea. When parasitic creatures begin falling from the sky and invading human bodies to take control, it's up to the anti-parasite task force, Team Grey, to eradicate the threat before they completely take over humanity.

The series mainly centers around a young woman named Su-in, who becomes partially infected by a parasite, putting her in a bizarre coexistence with it.

Pretty Little Liars: Summer School

I'm still not over the Pretty Little Liars reboot series being canceled this year. In my opinion, it should've gotten at least two more seasons, and its cancellation will forever hurt. But although the horror show was canceled, I still recommend watching it.

Its second season, titled Pretty Little Liars: Summer School, continues to follow Imogen, Tabby, Noa, Faran, and Mouse, who, after the traumatic events of the first season, find themselves having to attend summer school at Millwood High. The girls hope to leave the past in the past and start fresh, but their plans are derailed when they become the target of a new villain, Bloody Rose.

Evil season 4

Evil returned with its fourth and final season on Paramount+ in May, and what a great way to wrap up the horror series. Throughout four seasons, we watched a team consisting of a forensic psychologist, a priest-in-training, and a tech expert as they worked together to investigate supposed supernatural events and demonic occurrences.

Interview with the Vampire season 2

Interview with the Vampire is another horror series loved by many that made its return this year. It's based on The Vampire Chronicles book series by Anne Rice and revolves around the complicated supernatural love story between two immortal vampires, Louis de Pointe du Lac and Lestat de Lioncourt. A third season is currently in the works at AMC and will cover the second book in Rice's Vampire Chronicles book series, The Vampire Lestat.

Dead Boy Detectives

Another unfortunate cancellation this year was Dead Boy Detectives. It's a supernatural horror series following two teenage ghosts who operate a detective agency specializing in supernatural mysteries. They team up with a clairvoyant to investigate paranormal cases. However, their plans are disrupted when a powerful and malevolent witch enters the picture, threatening to interfere with their work and complicating their efforts.

Agatha All Along

Agatha All Along is hands down one of Disney+'s best miniseries ever. Taking place after the events of WandaVision, we follow the infamous witch Agatha Harkness, who regains her freedom with the help of a mysterious goth teen. Together with several other powerless witches, they embark on a dangerous journey down the Witches Road, a series of trials that promise to award its survivors with what they've been missing if they reach its end.
