There are a bunch of movies playing in theaters at the moment, but the main one you should be buying a ticket to see is Beetlejuice Beetlejuice. After over 30 years, the highly anticipated sequel to the '80s horror-comedy classic Beetlejuice has finally come out. This is definitely not a movie you want to miss out on!

But look, we know not everyone is fond of theaters. If you're this type of person, you'll be glad to know that Beetlejuice Beetlejuice is expected to be given a digital and streaming release. That way, you can watch this new horror-comedy at home. A digital release will happen first, followed by a streaming release. However, neither of these releases will happen anytime soon, at least not in September.

When it comes to where Beetlejuice Beetlejuice will likely stream, that streaming platform will be Max. This is because the horror-comedy is being distributed by Warner Bros. Pictures. Warner Bros. theatrical movies typically land on Max sometime after theaters. While there isn't an official streaming release date yet, we have an idea of when this movie could possibly come to Max.

Recent Warner Bros. theatrical movies like Furiosa: A Mad Max Saga and The Watchers hit Max 84 days after their theater debuts. If Beetlejuice Beetlejuice were to follow suit, we could see it on Max sometime in November or December 2024. However, this is just our release prediction. The horror-comedy could come to the streaming service earlier or later than our prediction. We'll come back and share the official streaming release date once it's announced.

Tim Burton directed Beetlejuice Beetlejuice from a screenplay co-written by Alfred Gough and Miles Millar. The film is set 36 years after the events of the first film, and we follow a now adult Lydia Deetz, who finds her life turned upside down when her estranged daughter Astrid gets tricked into entering the afterlife.

We shared the movie's official synopsis below via the Warner Bros. website:

"Beetlejuice is back! After an unexpected family tragedy, three generations of the Deetz family return home to Winter River. Still haunted by Beetlejuice, Lydia's life is turned upside down when her rebellious teenage daughter, Astrid, discovers the mysterious model of the town in the attic and the portal to the Afterlife is accidentally opened. With trouble brewing in both realms, it's only a matter of time until someone says Beetlejuice's name three times and the mischievous demon returns to unleash his very own brand of mayhem."

Winona Ryder reprises her role as Lydia Deetz from the first film, Catherine O'Hara as Delia Deetz, and Michael Keaton as the titular character Betelgeuse. Wednesday's Jenna Ortega plays Lydia's daughter, Astrid. The rest of the cast includes Justin Theroux, Monica Bellucci, Willem Dafoe, and others.
