We have new information to report about the upcoming I Know What You Did Last Summer reboot. Bodies Bodies Bodies actress Chase Sui Wonders is reportedly in talks to join the Sony movie in an undisclosed role. This news comes after learning that Riverdale actress Camila Mendes will no longer star in the slasher due to scheduling conflicts.

If the deal terms are finalized, Wonders will be joining the already-announced cast, which is made up of Madelyn Cline, Sarah Pidgeon, Tyriq Withers, and Jonah Haur-King. Jennifer Love Hewitt and Freddie Prinze Jr. are currently in talks to reprise their roles as Julie and Ray from the 1997 original film and its sequel in the reboot. Brandy Norwood is also in discussions to return in her role as Karla from I Still Know What You Did Last Summer.

Jennifer Kaytin Robinson will be directing the slasher from a screenplay that she co-wrote with Sam Lansky. Additionally, Leah McKendrick wrote the original draft. However, the film's plot is still being kept under wraps. What we do know is when it'll be coming to theaters. Sony has set its theatrical release date on July 18, 2025, so make sure to save the date!

Wonders is in no way new to the horror world. She previously starred as Makayla in the psychological horror film Daniel Isn't Real. She also played the role of Emma in A24's black comedy horror film Bodies Bodies Bodies. If she signs on to the I Know What You Did Last Summer reboot, it will be her third horror project. Fingers crossed, everything pans out!

As mentioned above, who Wonders will be portraying in the I Know What You Did Last Summer reboot is unknown. Could she be taking over Mendes' old role, or will she be taking on an entirely new role? As soon as this juicy information is revealed, we'll be sure to let you know right away. But for now, you'll have to stay tuned to 1428 Elm!
