Horror fans rejoice! Longlegs is coming to digital this Friday
One of the highest-grossing horror movies of 2024 so far is set to be released on digital this Friday, which means if you didn't get the chance to see this amazing horror flick in theaters, now you have the chance to watch it from the comfort of your own home. Of course, we're talking about Neon's Longlegs.
Longlegs was released in theaters back in July 2024 and was a box office hit, grossing over $100 million worldwide against a $10 million budget. Now, it's finally about to have its digital release on tomorrow, Aug. 23, 2024. You can pre-order the film now on digital platforms such as Amazon Prime Video, Apple TV, and Vudu for $24.99 before taxes. While there isn't an option to rent the film at the moment, you should have the option to do so on Aug. 23.
What if you prefer to have a physical copy instead? Well, lucky for you, Longlegs will be receiving a physical media release as well. The horror flick will reportedly be on 4K Ultra HD, Blu-ray, and DVD on Sept. 24, 2024. According to a press release, these physical media formats will feature bonus materials, including on-set interviews with cast and crew and feature-length commentary with writer-director Osgood Perkins (The Monkey, The Blackcoat's Daughter).
Wait! What about a streaming release? Unfortunately, a streaming release hasn't been confirmed. But if this movie does end up coming to streaming, it'll most likely be on Hulu since that's where Neon theatrical movies usually stream after theaters. We'll let you know if this ever happens.
Longlegs stars Maika Monroe as Lee Harker, an FBI agent tasked with solving an unsolved serial killer case and putting a stop to the killer's killing spree. Joining Monroe in the cast are Blair Underwood, Alicia Witt, Nicolas Cage, Kiernan Shipka, and others.
