Horror rom-com Heart Eyes will be released in theaters in February 2025
Horror fans, we're happy to report that the upcoming Spyglass horror rom-com Heart Eyes finally has a theatrical release date. Unfortunately, the movie won't be coming out this year, which was expected since production just recently wrapped in New Zealand in July. The film is currently in post-production. However, Sony will be releasing this movie in theaters early next year. Feb. 7, 2025, to be exact. Don't forget to save the date!
Heart Eyes is described as a Valentine's Day slasher. Josh Ruben (Werewolves Within, Scare Me) directed the film from a screenplay co-written by Phillip Murphy (Hitman’s Wife’s Bodyguard), Christopher Landon (Happy Death Day, Freaky), and Michael Kennedy (Freaky, It's a Wonderful Knife).
Taking place in Seattle, Washington, Heart Eyes follows a pair of co-workers working overtime at their job during Valentine's Day. But things take a turn for the worse when an infamous couple-hunting murderer known as the "Heart Eyes Killer" shows up at their job and mistakes them for a couple. Now, officially the killer's targets, the co-workers must find a way to escape before they end up dead.
While it's still unknown who will be playing who in the movie, Mason Gooding (Scream VI, Fall), Olivia Holt (Totally Killer, Cruel Summer), Devon Sawa (Final Destination, Chucky), Jordana Brewster (Fast X, The Texas Chainsaw Massacre: The Beginning), and Gigi Zumbado (Hightown, Bridge and Tunnel) all star in this horror flick.
Landon, Greg Gilreath, and Adam Hendricks are producers of the film, while Murphy, Kennedy, Mel Turner, and Spyglass' Gary Barber and Chris Stone are signed on as executive producers.
It's still too early for a trailer to be released. We're not expecting one until later this year or maybe even early next year. Don't worry, though. We'll definitely come back and share it as soon as it drops.
