Heading into the last week of May, horror fans are in for a treat with multiple new movies and shows being released, including new episodes of Interview with the Vampire, Evil, and Pretty Little Liars: Summer School.

Benedict Cumberbatch stars in a new Netflix crime drama and the highly anticipated film In a Violent Nature makes its theatrical debut. Keep reading to discover all the horror titles becoming available this week.

Eric (Netflix, May 30)

When the son of a famous puppeteer vanishes while walking to school one day, his father starts obsessing over his kid's drawing of a blue monster named Eric.

Desperate to bring Edgar home by any means, Vincent convinces himself that if he can create a real-life puppet version of Eric and put it on his successful children's program, then Edgar will find his way home. Eric is an emotional crime drama starring Academy Award-nominated actor Benedict Cumberbatch.

The First Omen (Hulu, May 30)

A prequel to the original 1976 film The Omen, The First Omen stars Servant's Nell Tiger Free as an American woman sent to Rome to begin her life of service to the church, only to uncover a horrifying conspiracy. Released in theaters this past April, The First Omen lands on Hulu this week.

Pretty Little Liars: Summer School episode 5 (Max, May 30)

The fifth episode of this season of Pretty Little Liars drops this Thursday, May 30, on Max. Titled "Chapter Fifteen: Friday the 13th," this episode pays homage to the iconic slasher franchise and features a set piece inspired by Friday the 13th Part 2.

Evil season 4, episode 2 (Paramount+, May 30)

The trio tries to solve a mysterious "werewolf" incident that is more than it first appears in the second episode of the fourth season, titled "How to Train a Werewolf." Ben looks into solving his newfound jinn problem by using science (even though, technically, that's what got him in this situation in the first place).

In a Violent Nature (Theaters, May 31)

Written and directed by Chris Nash, In a Violent Nature is one of 2024's most anticipated horror movies. Rumors abound that people have thrown up and gotten sick during its premiere due to some very graphic and gnarly on-screen kills.

A found-footage flick from the perspective of the killer, In a Violent Nature lands in select theaters this week and will be followed by a wide release on Shudder later this year.

What You Wish For (VOD, May 31)

In select theaters and on VOD this Friday, May 31, What You Wish For is a disturbing thriller about a man going to extreme lengths to replace his culinary friend who cooks for the wealthy, but when he learns about his new client's true motives, he realizes he's in way over his head.

Stopmotion (Shudder, May 31)

This disturbing IFC film finally arrives on Shudder this week! A talented stop-motion animator becomes consumed by a grotesque world of her own making after the death of her overbearing mother.
