Monster-Mania 44: Redrum! Meet Skeet Ulrich and Danny Lloyd!

Skeet Ulrich of Scream fame and Danny Lloyd of the horror classic, The Shining will be appearing in Hunt Valley, Maryland this October. Time for redrum!

Skeet Ulrich, Billy Loomis of Scream and Danny Lloyd a.k.a. Danny Torrance in The Shining will be appearing at Monster-Mania 44 in Hunt Valley, MD Oct. 4 through Oct. 6. This will be Lloyd and Ulrich’s first time ever appearing at this particular venue.

For those of you that grew up in the 90’s, Wes Craven’s masterpiece of parody, Scream is the horror franchise of the decade. Skeet Ulrich was one of the rising young stars in cinema. The phenomenal success of that film catapulted him to stardom.

From there he appeared in the Academy Award winning film, As Good as It Gets with Jack Nicholson and Helen Hunt. Then he crossed over to the small screen and had success in a variety of police procedurals including the Law & Order franchise and a 3-episode arc on CSI: NY.

Currently, Skeet can be seen in the hugely successful CW show, Riverdale as FP Jones. Danny Lloyd was just 6 years old when he appeared in one of the most iconic horror films ever with two living legends. Not many youngsters can say they shared the silver screen with Jack Nicholson and were directed by Stanley Kubrick.

Oddly enough in a fascinating piece of trivia, Lloyd didn’t know what type of movie The Shining was. Kubrick wanted to protect him because he felt he was at an impressionable age. It wasn’t until years later that he found out that in fact, he had worked on a horror film.
