Nick Frost and Simon Pegg are together again! This time on Amazon Prime in a new paranormal series, Truth Seekers.

Nick Frost and Simon Pegg are one of my favorite duos to ever grace the silver screen. I have seen all of the films in the Cornetto Trilogy multiple times. Paul is like comfort food entertainment for me.

So, imagine my glee when I found out that the pair would be starring in an Amazon Prime series called Truth Seekers. Variety reported yesterday that this is their first venture with their two-year-old production company, Stolen Picture. What makes this news particularly exciting is the fact that it deals with the paranormal.

What we do know about Frost and Pegg is that their work is usually a compilation of movies that they personally enjoy. For example, Shaun of the Dead is pretty obvious, George A. Romero’s body of work is clearly represented.

Then, of course, Hot Fuzz is an amalgam of The Wicker Man  (Edward Woodward who starred in the movie is also a principle in this film too!) and oddly enough, Bad Boys. Yes, that Bad Boys with Will Smith and Martin Lawrence. It is even referenced.

Which leads us to their latest production. What do we know about Truth Seekers? Nick Frost plays a ghost hunter named Gus who has an online channel where viewers can see his paranormal exploits. Think Ghost Hunters and you are on the right track.

Apparently, they visit haunted locations all over the U.K. However, Gus soon discovers as his experiences grow increasingly terrifying that all is not what it seems. In fact, he and his partner discover a conspiracy of sorts that has earth shattering implications, literally.

Simon plays a character named Dave and not much is known about him. Could he be Gus’ partner? We don’t know but it would be fun to imagine. Or is he part of the conspiracy? That could be even more interesting because Pegg hasn’t really played an ominous role as of yet.

Truth Seekers episodes will be 30 minutes in length and the season will be comprised of eight installments. Production has been slated for September. As of yet, no premiere date has been set.
