Bruce Campbell and Ted Raimi are rumored to be cast in Sam Raimi’s Doctor Strange 2 along with Cillian Murphy and Emma Watson.

Here we go again. More casting rumors coming from 4Chan and Cosmic Book News surrounding Sam Raimi’s Doctor Strange 2. This is not set in stone and should be taken with a grain of salt.

Bruce Campbell was immediately mentioned for a potential role in Doctor Strange 2 the minute that Raimi was announced as the replacement director for Scott Derrickson. Some sites were even claiming that he would finally make his debut as Mysterio.

The actor has appeared in cameos for the entire Raimi Spider-Man trilogy. However, with the suddenness of his long-time associate helming Doctor Strange 2, a production start date in May and a script in place, is it really possible for him to be cast in a part that makes sense?

Ted Raimi who has also been with Campbell in the Spider-Man trilogy is said to be up for a cameo in Doctor Strange 2. It seems plausible but is it?

More from Bruce Campbell

Cillian Murphy’s name has also been thrown in the ring as Nightmare. David Tennant and Jared Leto also were mentioned at one time as being in contention for that character.

Emma Watson is thought to be in the running for Clea who is a romantic interest for Doctor Strange. Malachi Kirby is supposedly in talks to be Voodoo while Isabela Merced will be introduced as America Chavez, the first LGBTQ character of Latin-American descent in the MCU.

While all of this news sounds terrific, at present nothing is concrete. All is quiet on Bruce Campbell’s social media right now while the actor concentrates on pitching his political satire script, House Divided. Which, oddly enough, has a part for Ted Raimi in it.

In the meantime, until the MCU makes an official announcement everything is speculation.
