Stranger Things season 5

This year, we'll be bidding farewell to arguably Netflix's best show. Stranger Things season 5 will be released on the streaming platform and will mark the conclusion of the beloved sci-fi horror series. While an exact release date hasn't been announced yet, the fifth and final season is rumored to be released sometime in the fall.

There's also a good chance that the final installment will be split into parts. We saw this happen with the previous season, and since this is the last season, it wouldn’t be surprising if Netflix chose to extend the excitement by releasing it in two batches. Stranger Things season 5 will feature a total of eight episodes, one less than the episode count for season 4.

While the specifics of the fifth and final season's plot are being kept secret, we'll definitely see the return of season 4's big bad, Vecna. The Upside Down will also be a big part of the season as well.

The Hawkins crew original four will return in Stranger Things season 5. That's Finn Wolfhard (Mike), Noah Schnapp (Will), Caleb McLaughlin (Lucas), and Gaten Matarazzo (Dustin). Of course, there wouldn't be Stranger Things without Millie Bobby Brown returning as Eleven. You can expect many other OG cast members to reprise their roles as well. Additionally, Nell Fisher, Jake Connelly, Alex Breaux, and Linda Hamilton are new cast additions.

Wednesday season 2

We'll finally see the beloved gothic icon, Wednesday Addams, back on screens this year in Wednesday season 2! An official release date has not yet been announced, but Netflix has already confirmed that the second season will come out in 2025. Jenna Ortega reprises her role as Wednesday, and this season, the dark and witty teen will be diving into even more mysteries to solve.

Ortega previously stated in an interview that Wednesday season 2 will focus more on the horror elements of the show than romance. This is exciting news because it means fans can expect a darker and more thrilling season. Also returning for the second installment are Catherine Zeta-Jones, Luiz Guzmán, Emma Myers, Isaac Ordonez, Joy Sunday, Moosa Mostafa, Georgie Farmer, Victor Dorobantu, Luyanda Unati Lewis-Nyawo, Jamie McShane, and Fred Armisen.

This season also introduces a variety of new faces, including Steve Buscemi, Thandiwe Newton, Billie Piper, Joanna Lumley, Evie Templeton, Owen Painter, and many others. And for Lady Gaga fans, the Grammy Award-winning musician will be making a cameo appearance as well.

Alice in Borderland season 3

Many people thought Alice in Borderland would end with its second season as the story appeared to wrap up most of the main story arcs from the manga. However, to the surprise of fans, Netflix announced that the sci-fi horror series will continue with a third season. That third season will be released sometime this year.

While plot details are being kept under wraps, the third installment will likely revolve around the Joker card. This playing card was shown lying on a table in the very last scene of the Alice in Borderland season 2 finale, suggesting that the deadly games might not actually be over. Kento Yamazaki and Tao Tsuchiya are confirmed to return as Arisu and Usagi in Alice in Borderland season 3.

The Sandman season 2

It feels like ages since Netflix confirmed The Sandman for a second season, yet the new installment still hasn't come out. Fortunately, the release is finally just around the corner now that we're in 2025. The highly anticipated second season of the supernatural horror series will make its way to Netflix sometime this year. Considering the lengthy post-production process, we’re guessing it’ll be released in mid to late 2025. However, this is just our release prediction. Once we know the official release date, we'll let you know right away.

The Sandman season 2 will see Dream working to rebuild his realm, but his efforts are hindered as the sins of his past resurface. Viewers can also look forward to the introduction of more members of the Endless family, alongside the return of the members introduced last season. Tom Sturridge reprises the role of the main character, Dream, Kirby Howell-Baptiste as Death, Mason Alexander Park as Desire, and Donna Preston as Despair.

Motel Transylvania

Motel Transylvania is the new vampire horror show we mentioned earlier. It's an animated series spinoff of the Hotel Transylvania franchise. It follows Drac and Mavis as they open a motel in the California desert, catering to both monsters and humans alike. Besides being confirmed to come out this year, the only other information known about this series is that Sony Pictures Animation produced it.

Squid Game season 3

After an incredible second season, Squid Game is slated to return this year with its third and final season. While rumors suggest that Squid Game season 3 might premiere in June, neither Netflix nor the show's creative team has officially confirmed this. However, a summer release would make sense as this would put a significant enough gap between the new season and the previous one. Netflix typically does this for all of its shows, and we can't see the streamer changing its strategy for Squid Game, especially since it's the last season.

Will Gi-hun (Lee Jung-jae) succeed in ending the Front Man's (Lee Byung-hun) deadly games, or will he become yet another victim? Find out when Squid Game season 3 drops on Netflix this year.

Fear Street: Prom Queen

The Fear Street trilogy was a huge success when it was released on Netflix in July 2021, making it an obvious choice for the streamer to green-light another film. That movie turned out to be Fear Street: Prom Queen, and it will be landing on Netflix this year. Based on the book The Prom Queen from the Fear Street series, this horror flick is set in the '80s at Shadyside High.

As the students prepare for prom, the popular girls at the school are doing everything they can to secure votes to be crowned Prom Queen. However, things take a sinister turn when an unexpected nominee enters the competition, and some of the other contenders start going missing.

India Fowler, Suzanna Son, Fina Strazza, David Iacono, Ella Rubin, Chris Klein, Ariana Greenblatt, Lili Taylor, and Katherine Waterston make up the cast.

Frankenstein

With the Netflix movie Frankenstein, Guillermo del Toro creates his own take on Mary Shelley’s classic 1818 novel. The story centers on Victor Frankenstein, a brilliant scientist who manages to bring a monstrous creature to life in a groundbreaking experiment, successfully restoring life to the dead. However, he soon realizes that there are consequences for tampering with life and death.

Oscar Isaac stars as the main character, Victor Frankenstein, while Jacob Elordi plays Frankenstein's monster. Mia Goth, Christoph Waltz, Felix Kammerer, Lars Mikkelsen, David Bradley, Christian Convery, Charles Dance, and Ralph Ineson are also in the cast.
