If you're wondering about what new horror movies are still left to come out in 2024, all you need to do is continue reading because we shared them below.

We'll soon see the return of the X film series, with the upcoming slasher movie MaXXXine. MaXXXine is the third installment in the X movie series and the sequel to X. Make sure to mark your calendar because it's slated to be released in theaters on July 5, 2024.

Mia Goth returns to play one of her roles from X, Maxine Minx. After surviving the farmhouse massacre in 1979, it's now 1985, and Maxine has moved to Los Angeles to continue to pursue her dreams of being an actress. Joining Goth in the cast are Elizabeth Debicki, Moses Sumney, Michelle Monaghan, Bobby Cannavale, Lily Collins, Halsey, Giancarlo Esposito, and Kevin Bacon.

Here's MaXXXine's synopsis via A24:

"In 1980s Hollywood, adult film star and aspiring actress Maxine Minx finally gets her big break. But as a mysterious killer stalks the starlets of Hollywood, a trail of blood threatens to reveal her sinister past."

Set to be released in theaters on Aug. 9, 2024, Cuckoo stars Hunter Schafer as a teen girl who, after being forced to live with her father at a resort in the German Alps, begins to experience strange visions and hear weird noises during her stay. She soon realizes that the vacation resort is not what it seems and she finds herself in a fight for survival.

Joining Schafer in the cast are other talented actors such as Jan Bluthardt, Marton Csokas, Jessica Henwick, and Dan Stevens.

TRAP - credit: Warner Bros. /

Trap is slated to be released in U.S. theaters on Aug. 9, 2024, as well. We recommend making it a fun time at the movie theater that day by watching both Cuckoo and Trap back to back. Coming from M. Night Shyamalan, Trap centers around a seemingly loving father as he takes his teenage daughter to a concert of her favorite music artist. But after looking around and noticing a huge police presence at the venue, the father begins to wonder what's going on. After asking a worker, he finds out that the police are there because they believe that an infamous serial killer called "The Butcher" is in attendance at the concert and is ready to strike again.

But what makes the movie's plot really interesting is that the father is revealed to be the actual serial killer that the police are trying to capture. Well, at least that's what the gripping official trailer makes it seem like. Since Shyamalan is the creative genius behind this film, we could see there being a twist, and the father isn't actually the serial killer. We can't wait to see it at the theaters to find out!

Josh Hartnett, Ariel Donoghue, Saleka Shyamalan, Hayley Mills, and Alison Pill all star in this horror film.

Beetlejuice Beetlejuice

Beetlejuice Beetlejuice is easily one of the biggest horror titles set to be released this year. It will be released theatrically in the U.S. on Sept. 6, 2024. Serving as a sequel to the 1988 fantasy horror flick Beetlejuice, Beetlejuice Beetlejuice stars Michael Keaton, Winona Ryder, Catherine O'Hara, Justin Theroux, Monica Bellucci, Arthur Conti, Jenna Ortega, and Willem Dafoe.

Here's the movie's official synopsis via a press release by Warner Bros.:

"Beetlejuice is back! After an unexpected family tragedy, three generations of the Deetz family return home to Winter River. Still haunted by Beetlejuice, Lydia's life is turned upside down when her rebellious teenage daughter, Astrid, discovers the mysterious model of the town in the attic and the portal to the Afterlife is accidentally opened. With trouble brewing in both realms, it's only a matter of time until someone says Beetlejuice's name three times and the mischievous demon returns to unleash his very own brand of mayhem."
