Trap

Trap is slated to be released in U.S. theaters on Aug. 9, 2024, as well. We recommend making it a fun time at the movie theater that day by watching both Cuckoo and Trap back to back. Coming from M. Night Shyamalan, Trap centers around a seemingly loving father as he takes his teenage daughter to a concert of her favorite music artist. But after looking around and noticing a huge police presence at the venue, the father begins to wonder what's going on. After asking a worker, he finds out that the police are there because they believe that an infamous serial killer called "The Butcher" is in attendance at the concert and is ready to strike again.

But what makes the movie's plot really interesting is that the father is revealed to be the actual serial killer that the police are trying to capture. Well, at least that's what the gripping official trailer makes it seem like. Since Shyamalan is the creative genius behind this film, we could see there being a twist, and the father isn't actually the serial killer. We can't wait to see it at the theaters to find out!

Josh Hartnett, Ariel Donoghue, Saleka Shyamalan, Hayley Mills, and Alison Pill all star in this horror film.

Here's the movie's official synopsis via a press release by Warner Bros.:

"Beetlejuice is back! After an unexpected family tragedy, three generations of the Deetz family return home to Winter River. Still haunted by Beetlejuice, Lydia's life is turned upside down when her rebellious teenage daughter, Astrid, discovers the mysterious model of the town in the attic and the portal to the Afterlife is accidentally opened. With trouble brewing in both realms, it's only a matter of time until someone says Beetlejuice's name three times and the mischievous demon returns to unleash his very own brand of mayhem."
