While the 2010s was a great decade for horror, the 2020s look to be even better. Since its start on Jan. 1, 2020, we've seen so much great horror content come out, and there's still so much more to look forward to since the current decade doesn't end until Dec. 31, 2029.

We've watched our fair share of horror movies in recent years, and we feel confident enough to share what we think are some of the best horror flicks of the 2020s. However, our list is bound to grow as more and more new horror movies are released. This is just what we got for now. You can check out our list below!

The Call (2020)

The Call is arguably one of the best Korean horror movies of all time. It revolves around two women from two different time periods who live in the same home. 28-year-old Kim Seo-yeon lives in the present (2019), while Oh Young-sook lives in the past (1999).

Connected by a phone that transcends time, the women begin to grow a close bond. That's until Seo-yeon realizes that Young-sook isn't the woman she claims to be. She's actually a serial killer who is hellbent on changing her own fate, even if it means putting Seo-yeon's life on the line.

The Dark and the Wicked (2020)

The Dark and the Wicked is a supernatural horror film about two siblings, Louise and Michael, who, after returning to their secluded familial farm to be with their dying father, begin to experience strange and terrifying occurrences. On top of their mother's erratic behavior, they start to suspect that a malevolent entity is preying on them and their family.

Fear Street trilogy (2021)

Netflix knew it had three hits on its hands when it released the Fear Street trilogy back in July 2021. The trilogy consists of Fear Street Part One: 1994, Fear Street Part Two: 1978 and Fear Street Part Three: 1666, with all films being connected.

Part 1 saw a group of teens taking on an evil force terrorizing their small town of Shadyside. Part 2 took viewers back to the '70s at a summer camp where kids were supposed to have a fun time, but instead, they end up in a fight for survival when a killer goes on a murder spree.

Lastly, part 3 takes us even further back in time to the 17th century where we discover the origins of the Shadyside curse that's been plaguing the town for centuries. The third and final film also jumps forward to the '90s, where we see the same group of teens from part 1 working together to put a stop to the curse.

The Black Phone (2021)

The Black Phone takes place in the '70s and centers around a 13-year-old boy named Finney, who is abducted by a local sadistic serial killer known as "The Grabber" and locked inside his soundproof basement. But as they try to move on with their lives, a new Ghostface killer emerges and begins targeting them.
