Grotesquerie (Sept. 25, FX/Hulu)

The latest television series from Ryan Murphy and co., Grotesquerie, premieres with episodes this week on Wednesday, September 25, on FX. Episodes will also stream on Hulu the following day. Niecy Nash-Betts stars as a detective assigned to investigate a series of heinous crimes with a weirdly personal twist. She enlists assistance from a local nun who doubles as an investigative journalist. Courtney B. Vance, Travis Kelce, and Lesley Manville also star.

Apartment 7A (Paramount+, Sept. 27)

Premiering this Friday on Paramount+ (and available for digital purchase), Apartment 7A is a prequel to the 1968 classic Rosemary's Baby. Beginning a couple of years before Rosemary and Guy Woodhouse would eventually move into the Bramford, this psychological thriller centers on Terry Gionoffrio (Julia Garner), a dancer who sustains a potentially career-ending injury and gets taken in by Minnie (Dianne Wiest) and Roman (Kevin McNally) Castevet.

Azrael (Theaters, Sept. 27)

Samara Weaving's latest movie sees her playing a woman named Azrael who escapes imprisonment and finds herself hunted down by a group of mute religious zealots. An IFC Films and Shudder production, Azrael will be out in theaters this week and then stream on Shudder at a later date.

The Walking Dead: Daryl Dixon: The Book of Carol (AMC, Sept. 29)

If that title isn't too much of a mouthful for you, you'll want to stay tuned for the upcoming second season of the Daryl Dixon-focused spinoff from its parent series, The Walking Dead. As the title suggests, this season will mark the official return of Melissa McBride as fan-fave character Carol Peletier. We'll get to see what's next for the beloved Carol/Daryl friendship.

Bagman (Theaters, Sept. 27)

Sam Claflin stars as a father desperate to protect his family from the sinister Bagman, an entity that used to haunt him as a child and supposedly has a terrifying hunger for children.

Out There: Crimes of the Paranormal (Hulu, Sept. 24)

This new Hulu docuseries, executive produced by the Duplass Brothers Productions, launches this Tuesday with eight episodes featuring strange stories about alleged UFO incidents, the legendary Goatman, lizard people, and more. It features very "out there" true crime stories.

Oddity (Shudder, Sept. 27)

One of this year's best and most suspenseful horror titles lands on Shudder this week, which is perfect for anyone who didn't get the chance to see Oddity in theaters. The story revolves around a blind woman with a taste for curiosities who arrives at the former home of her murdered sister to investigate and see if the man they arrested for her death is actually the culprit or if something else happened there.
