Horror-comedy Carved comes to Hulu this October: Get the first look!
This fall season has no shortage of scary content to consume ahead of Halloween, from Ryan Murphy's new FX on Hulu show Grotesquerie to the theatrical release of Smile 2 and more. But if you're looking for something a bit lighter this spooky season, look no further than Carved, Hulu's upcoming horror-comedy that's bound to provide just as many laughs as it does scares.
Hulu sent a press release to 1428 Elm today, announcing that Carved will premiere on Hulu on Monday, Oct. 21, just 10 days prior to Halloween. Following a group of people being preyed on by pumpkins at a historical reenactment site, the premise of Carved teases a hilariously ridiculous storyline with memorable moments. Check out the official synopsis from Hulu below:
"When a heartbroken teenage playwright, her younger brother, and a disparate group of survivors become trapped in a historical reenactment village on Halloween night, they must band together to survive a relentless assault by a sentient and vengeful pumpkin."

Pumpkinhead, is that you?! Carved is based on the 2018 short of the same name, directed by Justin Harding who returns to direct the full-length film. The short is currently streaming on Hulu, and you can watch the trailer for it here.
The cast of the new movie consists of Peyton Elizabeth Lee (Andi Mack), Corey Fogelmanis (My Life With the Walter Boys), Wyatt Lindner (Afraid), Carla Jimenez (The Mick), Sasha Mason (Ozark), Jonah Lees (The Phantom of the Open), DJ Qualls (Guillermo del Toro's Cabinet of Curiosities), Marc-Sully Saint-Fleur (Home Economics), Elvis Nolasco (Godfather of Harlem), Matty Cardarople (Stranger Things), Jackson Kelly (Chucky), and Chris Elliott (Schitt's Creek).
We don't have a trailer for Carved yet, but we do have first-look images that give us a glimpse at what we can expect:
We're still waiting on the official Huluween lineup for this year, but we already know of a few exciting additions to the Hulu lineup this fall. American Horror Stories is returning with new episodes on Oct. 15, a new horror movie taking place in the '90s called Mr. Crocket will release on Oct. 11, and Family Guy will debut a Halloween episode exclusively on Hulu with guest star Glen Powell. I'm sure there will be many more titles on the October list when the streamer releases it soon, so stay tuned!
Will you be adding Carved to your watch list?
