‘The Walking Dead’: Each Season’s Saddest Death
By Jeremy Dick
Tabitha the Goat (Season 6, Episode 4)
I don’t mean to make light of any of the character deaths we’ve seen this season. Many of them were pretty emotional as I had come to enjoy the characters. It was horrifying to see Jessie and her son perish in the horde. I felt bad for Deanna when she was succumbing to a walker bite. Denise taking an arrow through the head was also an unpleasant situation.

Still, there was nothing more heartbreaking than the death of poor Tabitha the goat.
The pet of Morgan’s buddy Eastman, Tabitha would be brought inside every night for the protection against the walkers. Eastman was keeping her with the intent of figuring out how to make cheese.
Unfortunately, she had a habit of escaping, which ultimately led to her demise when Morgan discovered her being eaten by a walker. Morgan wound up burying her himself in Eastman’s graveyard in the saddest sendoff seen in the season.
You think that it’s weird I think a goat dying on The Walking Dead is sad? Well, I’m not the only one.

I’m sure the death of Negan’s victim will be one of the most devastating moments in the series, no matter which character in the line-up he picks. But that death is apparently going to have to wait until Season 7.
